Throughout our local communities, folks are working together like never before to help each other make ends meet while also making the most of each and everyday: United We Rise.

In that same spirit, United Way of the Wine Country wants you to support the Sonoma County Family YMCA to help them continue to serve local children, families, and older adults.

Much More Than a Gym and a Pool

Beyond gyms, pools and playgrounds, the YMCA is a community-based nonprofit providing engaging programs around youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. While the Y’s facilities have been closed for months now, their hearts remain wide open, and staff are making every effort to stay in touch and provide daily support.

Your Local Y Changes Lives. So Can You!

Last year the Sonoma County Family YMCA served 1500+ children per day in after-school and childcare programs and another 800+ per day in health and wellness programs.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the YMCA has drastically cut back almost all in-person programs but still currently serves 200+ kids in Distance Learning Programs and dozens more through virtual and outdoor fitness programs.

The YMCA is facing a $1.5 million shortfall for the current fiscal year.
