Tocqueville Society
Committed to a Brighter Future.
We thank our Tocqueville Society members who significantly enhance the quality of life in our community through their investments.
United Way of the Wine Country’s Tocqueville Society honors those who serve our community through their extraordinary philanthropy. The society is named for 18th century French historian, Alexis de Tocqueville, who recognized and celebrated the voluntary spirit of the American people.
Membership in the Tocqueville Society is your way to affirm your community leadership and demonstrate your commitment to the overall well-being of our friends and neighbors right here at home. Society members enjoy exclusive access to special events throughout the year as well as national recognition in the United Way Worldwide Tocqueville Society registry.
Tocqueville investments begin at $10,000 annually with numerous planned giving options available to fulfill the investment. In addition, gifts through the Tocqueville Society are eligible for 100% pass through of your gift to your designated nonprofit recipients. In other words, all of the causes you and your family are passionate about supporting can be easily supported with one gift to United Way of the Wine Country instead of separate gifts to multiple organizations. Planned giving options are welcomed to fulfill you investment including IRA Charitable Rollover, life insurance, and retirement plan distribution.
